The lawsuit accuses him of coercive control, grooming, and sex trafficking. These serious allegations could have big consequences for the music mogul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who as we know is black. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Allegations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Adria English, a former associate of Combs, has made some heavy claims:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Coercive Control<\/strong>: English says Combs abused her by adopting psychological and emotional tactics to control her.  Such was the intensity that she felt trapped and powerless.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Grooming<\/strong>: She alleges that Combs groomed her, building trust before exploiting it. She alleges he use the classic tactic of nurturing a close relationship  with her just to manipulate her later when she was deep in trust. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sex Trafficking<\/strong>: English accuses Combs of coercing her into non-consensual sexual activities, threatening her if she refused. This suggests he abused his power to exploit her sexually.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Legal and Social Impact<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If these claims are proven true, Combs could face serious legal trouble. This includes criminal charges and fines. His reputation and career could also take a major hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This case highlights a widespread issue not only in the entertainment industry but in society. It\u2019s damaging because it plays on the victim&#8217;s need for validation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, the demarcation between who is manipulating who is not always as it appears externally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Bigger Picture of Sex Trafficking<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The most serious accusation is that of sex trafficking which is about exploiting people\u2019s vulnerabilities through force, fraud, or coercion for sexual purposes. It&#8217;s a severe violation of human rights and is akin to modern slavery. There is nothing consensual here. If Combs is guilty, he faces jail time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moving Forward<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Combs has denied the allegations. His lawyer Jonathan Davis said in a statement: \u201cNo matter how many lawsuits are filed it won\u2019t change the fact that Mr Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof.
